To be perfectly honest, I never really want to attend undergraduate at Carolina. It felt foreign to me, a place where I didn't belong. My parents worked hard to pass their enthusiasm for my education onto me, and I all but had the enrollment check to North Carolina State in the mail when my mind was changed for me. It really wasn't until I'd lived there a year that I started to enjoy life at Carolina. The spring is idyllic, the summers have an underlying steamy sweetness to them, the fall encompasses crunching of dying leaves, and the winters brought a brief chill to make you feel alive. The campus is utterly gorgeous, but ever changing. Now, when I go back to see what's different, I see old building that I used to occupy, now surrounded by new, with less trees and grass. I am sad for future Carolina students, only because they won't see the same Carolina I grew up in.
